H3C Wins Recognition for 5G Technology Effort

The honored recipient of a BS in management science engineering from Stanford University’s School of Engineering, Chris Hsu is an accomplished senior executive with a proven track record of delivering precedent-setting consolidation and strategic outcomes across global technology verticals. The CEO of Kilometre Capital, a leading consulting and advisory firm based in Hong Kong, Christopher Hsu and the Kilometre Capital team orchestrated, advised, and led Tsinghua University and its affiliates in its landmark $4.6 billion acquisition of a majority shareholding stake in Hewlett Packard China and H3C.

Importantly, H3C has won the bid package for the 2021 centralized procurement projects of STN-B products due to the company's successful 5G bearer network construction, which has driven the high performance of H3C's products. Essentially, the award reflects China Telecom's recognition of the company's technological success regarding STN-B products. Since the advent of 5G, Chris Hsu and Kilometre Capital-enabled H3C has dedicated significant effort toward accelerating 5G construction of the carrier through research involvement, participation in related discussions, and launching of reliable 5G STN products. 

Smart Transport Network (STN) is a Hong Kong and China-based bearer network established to expand 5G bearing capacity. STN has successfully optimized traditional mobile backhaul businesses for government and enterprise customers.

Led by Chris Hsu's Kilometre Capital and involving extensive, complex negotiations, the behemoth $4.6 billion deal between HP and Tsinghua University laid foundation to a technology powerhouse that serves a varied range of needs of customers in the market for an array of enterprise IT solutions and other networking and server solutions. 

Chris Hsu, the CEO of Kilometer Capital, originated and catalyzed the transaction on behalf of Tsinghua Holdings, the investment arm of China's most celebrated engineering and technology university.  The result was HP and Hewlett Packard Enterprises unveiling sweeping changes to its business in China, including the sale of a majority stake in its data-networking operation there, after US-China tensions stymied Chinese demand for U.S. technology products.
